Locating Abortion Information
Getting quality abortion information can be a rather difficult endeavor. Especially with a poor and underserved communities and for teenagers that may fear seeking it out. Much of the information about abortion that is routinely handed out is actually being disseminated by so-called “pro-life” groups masquerading as organizations trying to help young women make the “right choice”. They have become proficient in using scare tactics and trickery. One such example of their deception is describing their pro-life believes in what looks like informational literature. Whether they care about you or your baby is really suspect. At times it would appear as if they only care about promoting their own agenda.
To get quality abortion information to a group by the name of Planned Parenthood is an excellent place to start. Their sole function is to assist women in making their own intelligent choices, taking advantage of the freedom over their own bodies that the Supreme Court has declared it is their right. While these anti-abortion groups terrorize women and the doctors that assist them, organizations like Planned Parenthood help out women by giving them good abortion information, as well as information about birth control, and other types of sexual information and they would like to learn more. There is no point subjecting yourself to right wing propaganda, go for reliable, quality information.
I recall having a cousin who at the age of 17 became pregnant unintentionally. The town that she lived in was rather uptight, and didn’t have any abortion information that could be of assistance to her. She finally located what was termed as an “abortion counseling” clinic and went there to get abortion information.
What she learned there turned out to really frighten her. They told her that if she were to get an abortion it was likely that she could suffer from complications and maybe even die, that she would regret the decision for the rest of her days, and that her friends and family would find out all about her abortion and disown her out of shame.
Well, as you can imagine this organization had an agenda and it was not about to disseminate abortion information to anyone. Fortunately, because she’s a bright girl, she was able to see through their ruse. She and the getting an abortion and as far as I understand does not regret her decision. Her parents never found out about it and it was because of her bully that they would disowned her that she never went to them for help in obtaining abortion information to begin with.
65 Roses Or Cystic Fibrosis
Cystic fibrosis (also known as CF, mucovoidosis, or mucoviscidosis) is a hereditary terminal disease of the lungs and pancreas marked by severe coughing and malnutrition. It affects the exocrine (mucus) glands of the lungs, liver, pancreas, and intestines, causing progressive disability due to multisystem failure.
Thick mucus production results in frequent lung infections. Diminished secretion of pancreatic enzymes is the main cause of poor growth, fatty diarrhea, and deficiency in fat-soluble vitamins.
Often, symptoms of CF appear in infancy and childhood. Meconium ileus is a typical finding in newborn babies with CF. Individuals with cystic fibrosis can be diagnosed prior to birth by genetic testing. Newborn screening tests are increasingly common and effective (although false positives may occur, and children need to be brought in for a sweat test to distinguish disease vs carrier status).
Cystic fibrosis is one of the most common life-shortening, childhood-onset inherited diseases
In the US alone, about 1 in 4,000 are born with CF. It appears to be most common among western European populations and Ashkenazi Jews. That is to say about one in twenty-two people of Mediterranean descent are carriers of one gene for CF, making it the most common genetic disease in these populations. Incidentally, Ireland has the highest rate of CF carriers in the world, about 1 in 20.
The pancreas contains the islets of Langerhans, which are responsible for making insulin, a hormone that helps regulate blood glucose. Damage of the pancreas can lead to loss of the islet cells, leading to diabetes that is unique to those with the disease. Cystic Fibrosis Related Diabetes (CFRD), as it is known as, shares characteristics that can be found in Type 1 and Type 2 diabetics and is one of the principal non-pulmonary complications of CF. Vitamin D is involved in calcium and phosphorus regulation.
Poor intake of Vitamin D in the diet causes the bone disease Osteoporosis in which weakened bones are more vulnerable to fractures. Besides, people with CF also often develop clubbing of their fingers and toes due to the effects of chronic illness and low oxygen on their tissues.
Younger children with cystic fibrosis in the United States call their disease 65 Roses because the words are easier to pronounce. This trademarked phrase has been popularized by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
Sixty-Five Roses, the book is the heart-wrenching, yet beautiful account of two sister’s love for each another as one sister battles daily for her life with cystic fibrosis. It seems to be a lifetime story that leaves no emotion in a safe harbor. Her life seems to be a daily struggle, crammed with treatments, hospitalizations, false starts and faint hope, setbacks and unfulfilled dreams. She communicates well the complicated feelings that long-term illness can breed in families.
From the few pages that I have read, I can assure you is that it is told with complete honesty and with a soft conscience. Although I haven’t got down to finishing it, it appears that it surely would be one of the most moving memoirs that I may have ever read.
Readers tell me that each page is breathtaking, pulsating and leaves you wanting to never stop reading as the story is fascinating from beginning to end.
I can quite understand the support and love in a family towards the person inflicted with cystic fibrosis and highlights the complicated feelings that long-term illness can breed in families. Like in any battle they live and fight it together and learn to triumph over it in as many ways. Must truly be one helluva journey.
It was nominated as the Globe and Mail Best 100 Books of 2006
Read this book: your life will never be the same claims the Storycircle Book Review.
Now that I have it, I must get down to finishing it one of these days.
Since 1965, the term “65 Roses” has been used by children of all ages to describe their disease. But, making it easier to say does not make CF any easier to live with. The “65 Roses” story has captured the hearts and emotions of all who have heard it. The rose, appropriately the ancient symbol of love, has become a symbol of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
Cystic Fibrosis After the Diagnosis
It is devastating to a parent when their child is diagnosed with cystic fibrosis. They may feel guilt because this disease is an inherited medical condition. A parent may not know they are a CF gene carrier. If both parents are carriers there is a 25 percent chance one of their children will be born with this condition. There is a 50 percent chance one or more of their children will be carriers, and a 25 percent chance the child will not be diagnosed with cystic fibrosis.
A disease that affects over 30,000 children and adults in the United States. Many people are carriers and may not know it. The disease affects the mucus producing glands of the body. This disease also affects the respiratory, digestive, and reproductive organs as well as the sweat glands in the body. The normal, thin, liquid lining the passageways to the digestive and respiratory areas of the body becomes blocked when that normal lining turns thick and begins to block the passageways to these parts of the body.
Fibrosis is the most common hereditary disease in Caucasians in the United States. Nearly ten million Caucasians in America are carriers of the mutant gene that causes the disease and are unaware of that fact. Caucasians have a higher risk of getting cystic fibrosis although the disease has been detected in all ethnic groups. Breaking the statistics down so we can understand them is this; one in 31 Americans are carriers of the disease and have no symptoms to identify them as carrying the defective gene.
The lifespan of a cystic fibrosis patient is between 24 and 30 years but with newer technologies and drug treatments many are living longer. New medications and drainage procedures may increase the life span of a child born with this condition. Previously, it was rare for a child with cystic fibrosis to grow to adulthood. The cause of death for life threatening condition patient will normally be respiratory failure. The causes include respiratory tract infections or breathing distress and couples with enlargement of the right side of the heart.
There currently is no cure for this disease. There are treatments that can ease the symptoms of the disease and prolong the life span of a cystic fibrosis patient. Treatments may include antibiotics to fight infection that settles in the bronchial tubes and lungs, daily breathing and respiratory treatment. Patients are urged to chest physiotherapy that can be done manually or with a special machine. Manual chest physiotherapy can be controlled breathing for 30 to 45 minutes. You can also put the patient in a position that allows the mucus to drain from the lungs while the chest or back is clapped and vibrated. This allows the thick mucus to break away from the airways and be passed from the body. This procedure should be done over different parts of the back and chest because the mucus can settle in different areas of the lung. Mechanical devices are also available to perform the same function.

Treat Fibroids Naturally – Nature Cure For Uterine Fibroid Treatment
Are you looking to seek advice from alternate medicine practitioners to shrink fibroids naturally? Does the prospect of surgery for removing fibroids make you nervous? Do you want to give nature cure a chance before resorting to surgical treatment for uterine fibroids?
When I started looking out for alternate medical practitioners for my uterine fibroid treatment, I was not able to trace one easily. Although it frustrated me initially, I was determined to give natural treatment for fibroids a chance before going in for surgery.
I began my search for a suitable fibroid treatment plan on the internet. I was highly motivated by reading success stories of women who had managed to shrink their fibroids without surgery. A common thing I noticed while reading these success stories was the level of determination these women had.
From the articles I read, I gathered some common facts about fibroids and natural treatment for uterine fibroids. In this article I propose to share all these findings.
All natural methods of fibroid treatment start with measures to reduce the level of estrogen in the body. Excess estrogen in the body is known to be one of the most common causes of fibroids in women.
Estrogen is stored as well as manufactured in the fat cells in our body. Hence obesity is the most likely cause of excess estrogen in majority of women. Therefore one of the simplest ways to reduce estrogen levels in the body is to lose excess weight.
In addition to natural estrogen, certain pollutants often mimic the action of estrogen in the body. These tend to get accumulated in the liver and boost the growth of fibroids. Liver detox is recommended for getting rid of these estrogen mimickers as part of natural uterine fibroid treatment plans.
There is no single cause of fibroids. Often it is a result of multiple causes which varies from one woman to another. Treatment for uterine fibroids thus needs to be customized for each individual. There is no common advice or set of remedies that woman can resort to for fibroid cure in general. You need a comprehensive plan of treatment for uterine fibroids to systematically eliminate each and every probable cause of fibroids.
To continue with my story, I was able to identify my natural uterine fibroid treatment plan on the internet. It was basically a 7 step plan of treatment for uterine fibroids developed by an alternative practitioner. If you are planning to use natural remedies, it is important for you to understand that natural cure does not give instant results. In my case although I did not give immediate relief, after following the plan for a few weeks I was able to get relief from some of the symptoms of fibroids. After following the plan for a few months I felt a noticeable change in my fibroid symptoms. Gradually with consistent use of the plan I was able to shrink my fibroids naturally and permanently.
Ways to Stop Eye Dryness Effectively
People may find that their eyes are very dry or uncomfortable after staring at computer monitor for very long time. Or in some cases, the symptoms can be very serious. The reason is people seldom blink when they sit before computer monitor- blinking is the best way to relax eyes. However, if eyes can not blink for very long time, they will become very tired and irritated as a result.
For this, many people tend to use some eye drops, which can be purchased at any place. But most of them fail to have the problems resolved. This is because certain eye drops are particular for eye problems of certain kinds.
Some people may think that one of the best ways to deal with dry eyes is to stimulate eyes in particular methods, like onion. That sounds nice, but will do great damage to eyes. And the best way, in fact, is to use some liquid tears.
Liquid tears are specially targeted people with dry eyes. These artificial tears can offer eyes more lubricants and liquid, and eyes will become fresher as a result. Of course, people should also be careful in selecting these tears in the market- only those natural tears can offer the greatest safety and least complications.
Of course, one of the best ways to prevent dry eyes is “learn to blink”. Especially, when people are watching or looking at computer monitors, they should try to blink at interval, so as to avoid eye dryness. In addition, people should also make sure that their eyelids are clean and no waste is accumulated. Too much waste can affect the production of tears.
In other cases, dryness can also be caused by lack of certain of substances or nutrients. For this, people can intake supplements of certain kinds, like Vitamin C, Vitamin B, etc. some fruits can also do a perfect job in prevent eye dryness, like banana.
A Cure For Diabetes
Millions of people world wide deal with diabetes as a part of their everyday life. We follow our medical treatment plans by watching our diet, taking our diabetic medications and exercising on a regular basis.
We do all these things to keep our disease under control while we wait for the cure for diabetes.
There are many people in the alternative medicine field that have been claiming there is a natural cure for eversing diabetes. This has become an intensely debated issue with testimonials popping up around the Internet from people who say they have been cured of their diabetes through one method or another. Modern medical science has made many strides in treatment for the disease and in recent years fantastic new drugs, testing devices and tests to track a diabetics progress have made it easier to control the disease.
If you listen to the alternative medicine experts and even some conventional health care professionals claim there is a diabetic cure and the medical community along with drug companies have tried to hide this secret diabetes cure for fear or the loss of jobs and a great amount of annual revenue the disease generates. There are 6 million new cases every year. Talk about a growing customer base.
The only cures the mainstream medical community will admit to are pancreas transplants and pancreas cell transplants which are both only used in medical emergency cases. This means if the disease has progressed far enough that damage his been caused to vital organs the patient becomes eligible for the transplant list as a life saving measure. The other issue with transplants becomes the need for patients to take strong medications for the rest of there lives and reports have it that the side effects are sometimes worse than the disease itself.
I believe there could possibly be a natural cure for diabetes as we are supposed to have everything we need to sustain life built right in here on earth.
